Wonderful Thanksgiving with My Mom!

Well I had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with my mom and sister in Mobile, AL with turkey, dressing, macaroni and cheese, and all the fixings--AND NO CHITTERLINGS!!!! My sister Maryland and my mom had a very nice dinner and watched the Atlanta Falcons beat the Detroit Lions. All in all, we had a very good time!

This was well worst the 5 hour drive home!

Also, my mom bought a new car! She bought a 2005 PT Cruiser Limited on Saturday, November 26, 2005. Below is a picture of her new car:

MIS/M Degree Put On Hold

Thanks to the lack of a budget and continued operations under a continuing resolution, I have been instructed to reschedule my next class at the University of Phoenix Online (UOP) from 11/15/2005 to 1/10/2006. Even though I’m half way through (6 or 13 courses) my Master’s degree program, I think I will welcome the break from classes because I’ve been going straight through since the end of January. I think I need a break! Hopefully, I can pick back up in January 2006.

I really hated to say goodbye to my classmates, whom I’ve been with since my second class at UOP. Mitchell and David, I will miss you guys.

Home For Thanksgiving

Hopefully, I will be home in Mobile, AL for Thanksgiving this year! If my boss will let me off from work on November 25th, the day after Thanksgiving, I will be able to stay for the weekend. Please keep your fingers crossed!

Mom Ruins Thanksgiving!

Well my own mother has potentially ruined one of biggest holidays in my life--Thanksgiving! It all started with a phone call a couple of weeks ago that informed me that my mother along with my oldest sister would be visiting for Thanksgiving. Wow! But then, my wife informed me that her mother was planning a visit during that same week. On top of that, my wife's relatives here in Atlanta suggested a needed change of venue and that's right, they chose my house to host their Thanksgiving feast.

Okay, so maybe I'm over reacting but these people eat chitterlings on Thanksgiving! I mean we as Americans only have two truly American holidays--Thanksgiving and the Fourth of July! Who in their right mind would mess up Thanksgiving by eating chitterlings next to the turkey and dressing with all the trimmings? And now with my mom bailing on me at the last minute sort of speak, I'm destined for another haphazard Thanksgiving mishap that may even rival the infamous "Turkey Leg" incident that occurred several years ago in Mobile during Thanksgiving!

Oh the shame, the pain, the agony!
